Notice of Start a Part-time Job
●If you have a student visa, you would only be permitted to work a maximum of 28 hours per week. Moreover, students who have more than one part-time job could only work 28 hours in total instead of working 28 hours for each job.
●During long vacation such as a summer holiday, working up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week is permitted.
●It is strongly prohibited by law to work in the Pachinko parlor, game center or night club, and more, which is not suitable for students.
●It has been more cases recently of getting involved in crime through a part-time job. Do not take other people's luggage or withdraw cash from other people's bank account. If you have any questions, feel free to come to our office.
●It would be illegal if you keep having a part-time job with our student visa because the permission to engage in activity other than that permitted under the status of residence previously granted would be expired since you graduate or drop off from school.
Submitting a part-time work report form
If you are starting a new part-time job or changing your part-time job, you must obtain permission to engage in activities other than those permitted by your student visa from the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau and then submit a part-time work report form to the school.
To submit, fill out the necessary information on the part-time work report form and submit it to your homeroom teacher or the office.
