Purposes and benefits for enrolling into a Japanese language school

Let's consider the variety purposes and benefits for enrolling into a Japanese language school.

Purposes for enrolling into a Japanese language school

・To pursue further education at a Japanese education facility (such as a university, vocational school,
       or graduate school)
・To be able to work at a Japanese company (or a company in one's home country that has a deep           connection with Japan)
・To become a researcher in Japan
・Simply to learn the Japanese language
    ・Experience living in Japan

As mentioned above, there are many different purposes for studying at a Japanese language school. Now, let's consider the benefits of studying at a Japanese language school for the sake of enrolling into a higher educational facility.

Benefits of studying at a Japanese language school

・You don't have to spend a long period of time studying Japanese in your home country.
・Develop a solid foundation of the Japanese language in only a matter of six months to two years.
・Not only can you study Japanese, but you can also learn about and experience life in Japan.
・For those who are pursuing further education at a higher educational facility in Japan, its much quicker    and easier to find more information regarding your schools of interest compared to searching from         your home country.

Of course, there is the option of directly enrolling into a Japanese university without studying at a Japanese language university. However, the following lists some of the demerit of doing so.

Demerit of enrolling into a higher education facility without studying at
    a Japanese language school

・You will have to study and learn enough Japanese (or depending on the school, English) prior to             enrolling in your home country.
・Many schools do not allow students to enroll into school until they are actually in Japan, so school           choice is comparatively limited (There are a total of 92 universities, 4 graduate schools and 47               vocational schools that you can choose from until now(2017). Also, that does not necessarily mean         that all university's educational faculties will allow you to enroll into their department before coming       to Japan).
・It is comparatively more difficult and time consuming to gain detailed information regarding your           schools of interest while living in your home country. Because of this, there are many things regarding
the schools that students researched or plan on enrolling into that they do not realize until after they       have enrolled and began studying.

Please thoroughly think about which selection is most suitable for you.
