Regarding the Class Schedule (Summer Semester, Academic Year 2026) 

August Class Schedule: August 17 (Mon) – August 31 (Mon) [excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays]
*Summer Break: August 1 (Sat) – August 16 (Sun) – No classes

There are no special academic events scheduled for August other than classes. 

From the Director of Academic Affairs

　Summer vacation has begun. Since this is a rare opportunity to study abroad, I hope you’ll enjoy yourselves and experience the Japanese summer firsthand. This is also a time when you can study at your own pace, so please take care of your health and study in a well-planned manner.
Students hoping to enter college should attend open campus events to get a feel for the atmosphere and experience sample classes, as well as prepare the necessary documents for application. Things will get busy once school starts, so please take care of these tasks during summer vacation. 
　Once summer vacation ends, it’s time to apply for the second JLPT session. Before checking your results from the first JLPT, it’s best to decide which level to take based on your personal goals. Depending on the level, there’s a risk that enrollment quotas will be filled before the deadline, so be sure to apply as soon as summer vacation ends.
　While hot days will continue throughout August, I’d like to encourage everyone to shift their mindset from vacation mode to study mode once summer vacation ends and dedicate themselves to their studies. 

From the Career Guidance Office

　Summer vacation has begun, but once it ends, preparations for entrance exams for universities and vocational schools will begin. 
　During the guidance session held at the end of July, the Career Guidance Office explained how to prepare the necessary documents for entrance exams—such as academic transcripts and graduation certificates issued by the student’s most recent school in their home country—which must be obtained there. We have instructed students returning to their home countries to arrange these documents themselves while abroad, while those who will not be returning have been advised to contact their schools in their home countries as soon as possible and to plan the delivery route and estimate the time required for the documents to arrive in Japan. 
　Furthermore, once admission is confirmed, enrollment procedures must be completed within approximately 10 days to two weeks. This involves more than just submitting documents. Depending on the school and its admission system, students are required to pay a fee during this period ranging from about 100,000 yen to roughly half of the annual tuition.
　We have instructed students to consult with their parents as soon as possible regarding the preparation of documents and enrollment expenses once their admission is confirmed, and we kindly ask for your cooperation in this matter. 

Announcements from the Secretariat

　Summer vacation is a time when many water-related accidents occur while playing in the ocean, rivers, and other bodies of water. Please follow the rules and enjoy yourself, making sure not to swim or play outside designated swimming areas.
